Due to the science fiction movies, cloning is a very popular topic these days. It could be claimed that cloning will be a positive development in science and it is a must for some health problems. Nevertheless, there are lots of disadvantages of having a clone of yourself. One will not be special and unique anymore, people will be aimless if there is another person to do their tasks, and there will not be enough food or water for both the clones and the people.

Cloning is not necessary for transplantation.
It may be asserted that cloning humans can
be beneficial for human health and transplantation. However, cloning only the
organ that is needed would be enough. Think of a person who is really sick and
needs a transplantation: If that person has a clone who is very healthy, people
might think that the “sick person” is not needed anymore. This may lead to a horrible
conclusion for the “real” person who needs help. Instead of cloning yourself,
you should be peaceful, should do the necessary treatments, should believe in
yourself that you are going to defeat that illness and should not be stressed. If
just the necessary organ is cloned, you would be healthy and happy again. Do
not allow your “healthy” clones to steal your valuable life.

People will not be special and unique if
they have their own clones.
First of all, everyone in the World is
unique and special. Even if one has an identical twin, he/she has different
thoughts, actions, reactions, aims, dreams, occupations and friends. These differences
make us unique and special. If each person had a clone of himself/herself, this
uniqueness would disappear. The clone might take our lives from us. They could
steal our jobs, aims, dreams, friends, family and any other important thing in
our lives. Can anybody imagine how bad this circumstance would be? Your whole
life would be gone in a very short time, every piece of it. If cloning people was
real, each person would be sad, frightened, lonely and aimless for the rest of
their lives. Being unique and special, being able to control our lives on your
own is a precious gift.

Most of the people will not do their
responsibilities if there is a clone to do them.
Many people think that having a copy of
yourself would be perfect. People imagine that they would not have to do their
tasks anymore if there is a person to do it. Although they think that they
would watch movies and surf on the Internet all day long, this is not likely to
happen. Your “lazy” clone might live a life that you are dreaming at the very
moment. While you are working for hours under really hard conditions with very
little sleep, he/she might go to the cinema, hang out with your “cloned” friends,
and sleep until the noon. Furthermore, he/she might complain about that you are
not earning enough money for him/her. Additionally, he/she may also criticize you
for each action you do. While you were dreaming about having a slave, you would
become a slave. There is another possible condition. He/she might become your
slave. However, imagine that you are only watching movies for thirty years. You
would finally be bored, depressed, aimless, lazy and become a sad and desperate
person. Your “slave” clone would also rebel and there would be a huge chaos in
the World. Instead of trying to have a “slave” clone, one should plan his/her
life with both working and fun activities. No one needs a clone to be happy.

The Earth will not be able to withstand if most
of the people have their own clones.
In total, there are eight billion people living
on the Earth and we all know that there will be some food and water shortages
very soon. If everyone in the world had a clone of himself/herself, there would
be sixteen billion people who needs food, water, oxygen, place to live, jobs,
education, family, happiness. Is it really possible that the Earth could
withstand with this horrible situation? We all know the answer is “no”. There
would be enormous wars in order to kill the half of the population. There are
several scenarios, which are all very terrifying. Clones could defeat the “real”
humans, humans could defeat their clones whom people paid lots of money for
create them -which might lead to an economic crisis-, people who are financially
strong could be united with their clones and kill most of the people
-eventually, the clones and the wealthy people would argue for everything for
the rest of their lives, which is not a pleasant condition-. As a result, there
are no space for the clones in the world.
In conclusion, cloning humans is the worst
idea that is ever thought about. No one needs a clone in order to be happy. Cloning
people is not a good solution for anything. Nobody would be special and unique,
our lives could be stolen, there could be food and water shortages and these
dreadful situations would lead to a huge chaos. People should not clone the
whole person but only the necessary organs for transplantation. Do not forget
that having a copy of yourself would make your life awful.
