AN ADVENTURE IN A NEW CITY



I have been walking for hours. I do not know where I am going. I even do not know my own purpose. I am confused a little bit. At least the bright sun is smiling and shining. I am in the middle of a strange, unfamiliar city at the very moment. I do not know anything about the city, their language, the people who lives here and their culture.

One may think that I am in a very desperate condition. However, I do not feel like that. In my opinion, a strange city means a new environment and a new life which is about to start. I am a student in a well-known college. Therefore, I am here trying to find my home. I have just rent my new home. I mean, I have rent it two days ago. Unfortunately, I cannot find or remember where it is.

Although I am in a weird situation, I can still enjoy my life, taking nice pictures of the new and the interesting city. Interestingly, I feel happy, not lost in a strange city. Suddenly, I encounter with one of my friends from the college. We start to have a chit chat and go to a café. A few hours later, I tell him that I cannot find my home. He gently smiles at me.

Two days ago, I have invited some of my new friends to my new home. As he came to my “new home-warming party”, he knows the way.

We leave the café and start walking. The sunset is breath-taking. After we watch this glamorous view a little bit, we finally arrive at my new home. Now I have learnt the way to my new home perfectly, so I hope will not be lost in this new city anymore. I gracefully thank him. I can feel that both of us are looking forward to going to the school next morning. We say goodbye to each other.

Just another interesting and adventurous day!

  HOW DOES THE COUNTRIES’ -TURKEY, THE NETHERLANDS AND THE USA- SOLAR POWER USAGE CORRELATE WITH THEIR ECONOMIC STATUS? IMPLEMENTING A CHARACTER IN ONE STORY TO ANOTHER “MATILDA AND THE SEVEN DWARFS”

  PREFACE I really enjoy our English lessons, especially while analyzing lovely and entertaining texts or writing magnificent pieces. Nowadays we are studying “how to write a descriptive essay” which I like very much. While describing things I loved using personifications, similies and metaphors that makes the piece much more attractive. I would like to use the information in this project while describing the circumstances, the characters and the setting in my “implemented story”. While writing an “almost-new” story, I love using some characters or plots that are well-known and enjoyable. By using those well-known things, the story becomes much more interesting than ever!
